The Global Studies program is one of the 3 degree programs housed in the Department of Cultural, Gender and Global Studies (College of Arts and Sciences). We have over 60 Global Studies faculty members in the program, drawn from 12 different departments across the university. We have representation from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Fine and Applied Arts, The Walker College of Business, and the Hayes School of Music.

The Global Studies Program supports these departments and colleges by including their course offerings in its curriculum, and also by giving faculty the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary teaching, research, and other forms of collaboration that further the mission of the university.

  • The Global Studies Advisory Committee consists of 6-7 faculty: 3-4 members are the core faculty in Global Studies from the Department of Cultural, Gender and Global Studies (CGG); 3 members are elected from the affiliate Global Studies faculty.
  • Committee members 2017-2018: TBA
